A couple of things should be painfully obvious to everyone:
1. tRUMP says Iran wants to make a deal—TRUE IF that deal removes tRUMP
2. tRUMP and Kegsbreath never dreamed that Iran could (or more importantly would) close the Strait

However, the military brass with expertise in the Middle East DID anticipate the possibility of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz, and it looks like Hegseth FIRED 24 or more generals & admirals who had the fortitude to criticize the bad planning.

@ElwoodBlues CIA also did

What I've read recently is that Hegseth planned a 4-5 week deployment max; thus little need for re-supply. But it's been 4-5 MONTHS!! Bad leader makes bad plans, chaos ensues.

@ElwoodBlues Not at all surprising that the Drunkard Paranoid tRUMPed up Jr Reserve Major is clueless how to war plan.

@ElwoodBlues The situation got a lot more complicated when the U.S. Navy shifted its primary regional logistics hub from Naval Support Activity Bahrain to Diego Garcia in the central Indian Ocean after Iranian missile and drone strikes heavily damaged the Bahrain facility.
This shift forced support operations to transition from a close regional network to a long-distance supply chain over 2,200 miles away.
This “operation” has been nothing but a clown show from the very beginning.
