The Moment Hegseth Made Up A War Powers Law That Doesn't Exist — Senator Caught Him

[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8dQ1Xbm-8U]

Senator Tim Kaine delivered one of the most constitutionally significant exchanges of the Senate Armed Services Committee FY2027 budget hearing, pressing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on the War Powers Resolution deadline for the Iran war. Kaine noted that the Resolution requires a president who initiates war without congressional authorization to conclude military operations within 60 days, with a possible 30-day extension only if the president certifies in writing that military necessity requires continued use of force for troop withdrawal — and warned that the deadline falls the following day. Hegseth responded with a novel legal theory not found in the statute, claiming that the current ceasefire pauses or stops the 60-day clock — a claim Kaine immediately rejected, stating he does not believe the statute supports that interpretation and warning that serious constitutional and statutory concerns could force the administration's hand on seeking formal congressional authorization.

My comments:

Good on Senator Kaine who obviously is better versed in the law than the paranoid Drunkard that Demented Donnie nominated to such an important posting.

Remove this incompetent CLOWN IMMEDIATELY! From Day One his incompetence has been our shame. Our troops, our country, and all of our courageous veterans deserve so much better than this drunken, steroid raging, incompetent piece of ***censored***! Impeach this fool and charge him with the war crimes he naively BOOSTS ABOUT!

trump and Hegseth Wifebeater said that "hostilities" have been terminated. Does anyone know what that means? Did we just quit?
