I think with any war it is best to assume both sides are lying about high level deaths since part of war is informational. Heck in this conflict we have already seen officers come back from the dead after they were claimed KIA.

Most info about wars that are initially reported tends to be wrong in general.

During the NATO bombing of Serbia NATO claimed destroying more tanks than their entire inventory by a few hundred.

And as far as 15 officers being killed that is pretty small for a military with about 700 000 in Ukraine.

Even with the smaller Ukrainian army 15 is a small number.
