What is the difference beteen Deltas, Navy Deals, Green Beret etc etc..

i get it they are all special forces but why is there different brands... do they specialize in certain operations ? like Maduro was taken by Deltas, Bin Laden by Navy Seals.... why were those chosen respectively ?

Aside from whats already been said about each branch having its own Special Ops team(s), Im not sure how its determined which one gets a specific mission. There are most likely particulars involved where one team has a specific skillset, or some other factor.

Army & Navy were the two original military branches. The Marines were branched off the Navy and the Air Force was branched off the Army. This is why you will sometimes see reference to the Army Air Corp (prior to the Air Force being an independent branch it was the Army Air Corp).
