As I type this, Hurricane Melissa is ravaging Jamaica…
…a Category 5 hurricane such as this is always deadly and devastating. On an island such as Jamaica, doubly so. And to make matters worse, this storm has shown a slow, lingering path and should it stall out over that island the results will be even more catastrophic.
I would hope that our military would remember our long standing tradition of humanitarian aid and show themselves worthy of that tradition.
I don’t doubt our troops who would be the responders—they will rise to the challenge as always.
I doubt their so called “leaders” who seem heartless to even the widows and orphans in our own country care about these lifesaving endeavors in our own hemisphere.
And who could forget Demented Donnie throwing out paper towels in the PR airport?
