Houthis May Have Taken Out Another $60 Million US Jet.
Last week, reports confirmed the Houthis destroyed at least 7 Reaper drones in six weeks, totaling $210 million ($30 Mil per drone). Now, with another $60 millon in U.S. hardware gone, that adds up to $270 million in just seven weeks, more than some nations’ entire defense budgets. The Navy claims the FA 18 Super Hornet “fell overboard” during an evasive maneuver.
This isn’t the first “accident" involving a FA 18. Only a couple of months ago, another $60 million FA 18 was mysteriously shot down by a U.S. cruiser.
If the Houthis did take out this jet, it would be humiliating for U.S. So far, 22 Reapers and 2 FA 18s have been destroyed during this war with the Houthis.
