Cuban missile crisis, a Cold-War event that brought the world too close to dooms day. Ever heard stories about it from family members?

No matter how much C.I.A denies it, it was their fault. They instigated it.

After the failure of 'Bay of Pigs' invasion, C.I.A wanted to initiate first full strike. For that they deployed 'Jupiter Missiles' in Turkey and Italy.

KGB anticipated this intention of C.I.A. As a result, USSR initiated the deployment of 'Ballistic Missiles' in Cuba.

The moment, C.I.A heard it, they voiced out to the whole world that USSR wishes to instigate a 'Nuclear Warfare'.

Who was the real instigator? C.I.A should have seen the three-fingers pointing towards them while they were pointing towards USSR.

End Result:

Both USA and USSR decided to remove missiles from their ally territories.

World was safe again but tension lasted until the fall of USSR!

Stories from family members. I can't help but laugh! 🤣

Ploy, counter ploy and repeat that over a few hundred times. It was far more complicated than what the face of it ever showed.

Just like Regan's
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall
was more complicated than what it seemed on the face of it. It was called the cold war before the bay of pigs for a reason.

It was called the cold war before the bay of pigs for a reason.

Certainly, cold-war started in early 1950's. Two super-powers after WWII wanted to take over the world.

However, C.I.A should not have questioned USSR's motives if their motive was the same. They instigated and KGB finished it. Worst, world remembers it as 'Cuban Missile Crisis' not as 'Jupiter missile crisis'. It would have good had the world remembered it 'Mutual Agreement of super-powers' but C.I.A always blames the others when they are are no less than others.

@SoLeRiMix I'll say it again there was a lot more going on than what is commonly known. My own grandmother was behind communist lines then and until her death and she was forced to hide her true identity. And for a reason.
