I couldn’t be more proud of him.
He first volunteered to go help out with the riots. Now he actually is.
He was originally doing food distribution and before that he was doing FMS.
But once the riots broke out and people started looting. He wanted to do more that just packaging cabbages.
But it scares me so much. For him and his squadron.
I’m scared cause I’ve seen what angry people do. I’ve dealt with people who are so focused on what they believe in that they won’t listen to anything else.
There are people out there that truly believe that rioting and looting is justified.
That the National Guard (Air Guard) is at war with the citizens.
I’m not denying their right to protest. And they have a right to. And if I had a car that worked well enough I’d go.
However, looting, rioting, violence. It all makes me sick.
People say that violence and riots is how we got other rights in the first place. And that maybe true.
But is it really worth fighting over someone’s death, by causing more?
Bad cops make good cops loose rep. I had someone argue that if you had 1000 good cops and 10 bad cops. And the good cops don’t hold that bad cops accountable. Then you have 1010 bad cops. YOU DONT KNOW IF THEY TRIED TO DO ANYTHING OR NOT. They could have and gotten nothing but a “well talk to him”. They could have lost their job. They could have tried to say something and not been heard. Besides, how many other times have you witnessed something and not said anything. Doesn’t that make you a truest terrible person as well?
I had someone, when I pointed out that they sounded like they want a socialist government. They asked me to give them an example of why it’s bad without naming a failed country. So I did! I did so. And they immediately changed the subject saying they’re done with trying to “teach me”.
At the end of all this my point is I’m scared for him. I’m scared for his squadron. I’m scared for everyone involved. And I just wish that people really look at what they are doing. And just go home. Reflect. And really think what is actually going to bring change to all this....
