The GREATNESS of the American soldier.

Fort Apache was one of my fathers favorite movies and I first saw it when I was very small maybe seven...when this scene happened I remember I had something like an out of body experience....I was THERE with those American soldiers and beat my fists to the sound of the bugle but also the thrilling way the composer made it a powerful piece of symphonic music. I asked if my father to play that scene again and of course he said yes but before he did I ran into the kitchen and got a butter knife and when the charge began waved the knife like it was a sword while beating out the rhythm with my other hand!

But later as I grew older it affected me differently. I would still move to the music but now the emotions I felt made me cry and still does...like right now...and it became for me a symbol of brave American soldiers trying to bring order and civilization to parts of the world that never had it, fearless, maybe reckless but always brave, indomitable, and admirable.

I have not saluted the American soldier for a while now so thought it was time to do so again!🇨🇿🇺🇲

(Apologies for the weak sound quality which does not do justice to either the bugle call nor the music supporting it).

I have always been inspired to read your posts and replies on your never ending interest in American History. Your knowledge and command of the subject material is always spot on, with love for our country and conviction in your beliefs, that many Americans do not possess or really care about! You never fail to amaze and astound me with your quick witted intelligence and compassion. I have always had a great appreciation for your sincerity and well educated approach.

When I read your post, I knew exactly what you meant and your objective in doing so. Like I wrote, I have read many times how much you appreciate America and all the brave soldiers who ever fought to defend Her and other great nations throughout the world. I thank you, for all of your kind words in reference to our great and all being and giving nation.

Fort Apache was an American cinema classic. It was always one of my favorites and one of a historic triolgy, directed by John Ford. As you referred to, what truly made it great was the fact that the film was one of the first to present an authentic and sympathetic view of Native Americans. The whole plot was that Officer York wanted the tribe to be treated with respect and to honor their customs and traditions whereas Gen. Thursday thought differently and led soldiers into the massacre, based on George Custer at the Little Big Horn. This was not a film to disparage Native Americans in any way, just the opposite. If I may add a quote:

The film was one of the first to present an authentic and sympathetic view of the Native Americans. In his review of the DVD release of Fort Apache in 2012, New York Times movie critic Dave Kehr called it "one of the great achievements of classical American cinema, a film of immense complexity that never fails to reveal new shadings with each viewing ... among the first pro-Indian westerns" that portrays the Native Americans with "sympathy and respect”
Dave Kehr, March, 23, 2012.

In your defense to blatant, insulting and arrogant fools on this thread, you were exactly right in your assessment! You made complete and utter fools, out of them. You completely eviserated that one jack ass and I was very proud of you, in your staunch defense. I was angry and infuriated to read his attack on you. He is not worth my time so I wanted to tell you how I felt. You are one of the most intelligent women on here. I have always admired you and just know, that I am a huge fan!🤗

@Abrienda Yes, unfortunately, you are very wise and astute in your last statement. Here you are, a great lady who doesn’t even live here, with more integrity, intelligence and common sense than half the nation. That in itself is shameful. Once again, thank you. You are a wonderful lady and so very special. I respect you, dearly! Thank you, for BA. I truly wasn’t expecting or even thinking about it. I just cannot stand to see such a fine lady attacked like you were. You certainly did not need my help. I just felt compelled to do so! That is what a true Southern American Gentleman does. We are just born and raised this way. I will always defend you, especially when you are in the right. It is my pleasure.!🤗

@Oster1 Thank you...I can live with being attacked so long as I make the attackers feel worse after they attacked me than before!😏

@Abrienda Oh dear lady, yes, you have a very unique talent for that!
Seriously, that’s bound to hurt the reprobates egos. To be out classed and out smarted by a young, petite and feisty lady must be truly humiliating and degrading. Of course they were very weak, to begin with! It truly was enjoyable and priceless to watch!😁👍️

You get your history your education and your life's inspiration from a movie?
How fucking tragic are you.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@fancyboy AHHHHHHHH....now you see why I replied that...all is well!🤗
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@Abrienda I sure hope so!
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@fancyboy Bet on it!😘

@fairefoutre ...and created a nation that saved Europe and the West TWICE...first from the Nazi Germany and Fascists Japan, then from Communist Soviet Union. That's your "nothing" or were you absent from class the day that lesson was taught?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@fairefoutre JUST READ YOUR INTRODUCTIN MESSAGE! Here it is -

Not much really, during the holidays, my cousin who was at the same school with and lived in a village close to my own, occasionally. First time I was 11, he was 12. We were wrestling, I was losing and my cock got stiff, a sub thing I suppose. I was wearing the kilt commando and he soon found my hard little dick, he had me off as we called it

Right...I don't communicate with "men" who promote pedophilic fantasies. We're DONE!

@fairefoutre You are completely out of your mind and have not seen how the troops were trained over here before they left to go over to europe. We brought lots more ideas and engineering to war that was never known to that time. Who created the Atomic Bomb to end the war anyway. It is interesting to note that Hitler and Japan were expanding till USA joined World War II, Then after we joined it got smaller and snaller until victory. Where was everyone before we joined. Why were they losing ground and gaining ground then?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@fairefoutre Boring. Unsophisticated. Factually wrong. And off topic. But typical for you.

Ueeww - and "indigenous population". You are so "woke"! However if the age you listed is correct, thankfully not for long.😂
@Abrienda

These two give evil a bad look ... sad
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@questionWeaver Actually I think it is one fool using two accounts so that he can make it look like there is someone else as stupid and ill-read as himself commenting.

See how these losers go to "race" when this has nothing to do with it? After all someone they never heard of but you being an American has - Ira Hayes - is one of the soldiers I am saluting.
@Abrienda noted!
