It may escalate. Right or wrong there is much to be concerned about.
I believe as the American President he was in that statement simply assuring Americans that American soldiers were not injured or killed. I suspect we will soon know how the US responds. I pray that decisions will be made, as unlikely as it seems, for long term peace in a very troubled part of the world.
