Here we go again

Bombing Iraq and Syria.

I thought that was over, and we were out of there. We have no right to be attacking sovereign nations.

Imagine if Russia bombed places in America because they said one of their citizens was killed in a rocket attack inside our borders. We are the aggressors here. We are the hostiles. Trump is breaking a promise.

We tried taking a step back with Obama and shit got worse. We are anti-terrorist groups and any nation that supports them. It's not a war on Iran or Syria.

We should not be there in the first place. It’s not our war. @Lostpoet

@Carissimi Terrorists are a global threat. I don't want us there either but every time we try to step out things get worse.

Syria can take care of itself. We don’t need to be attacking Syria. @Lostpoet

@Carissimi I plead ignorance on that I really haven't been keeping track of global affairs.

@Lostpoet Obama didn't take a step back, man. More drone strikes were carried out in his time under Hillary than any other presidency. And the militant groups were actively being armed by Gulf countries under the support of the US.

It's how ISIS got their weapons.

@Miram I think I stepped in to an argument I know nothing about. I just know that at the end of Bush's presidency things seemed to be getting under control and then Obama started giving pullout dates and then isis started.

Same here. I’ve got the flu, but trying to catch up with a little news today. @Lostpoet

@Lostpoet Just in the news there maybe. The Iraq invasion in reality left an empty slot in governance. There was already a religious divide and extremism but Sadam as dictator kept it on a leash. With his absence every one tried to force their agendas.
Lostpoet · M
@Miram I think the U.S. was hoping for a more peaceful democratic government to replace Saddam.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
And look what happened when we murdered Gaddafi. @Miram
Lostpoet · M
@Carissimi Gaddafi was a creep
Carissimi · 70-79, F
He was much worse than a creep. He was a monster, but we had no right to take out a leader of a sovereign nation, and look at it now, it’s worse than ever. ISIS run with slave trade. It also opened up a route for mass illegal migration to Europe. These dictators may be nasty leaders, but it’s like the lesser evil. @Lostpoet

@Lostpoet Obama followed the Iraq pullout date that Bush guaranteed to the Iraqi government. And Iraq's unwillingness/unpreparedness to defend itself did help facilitate the rise of ISIS.
