Should the U.S. be leaving Syria right now?

Yeah, my answer would be different. If I were Trump, I would've convinced the UN to place a peacekeeping force in Syrian Kurdistan as a deterrant to Turkey and then peaced the fuck out. I would've let Assad eat ISIS -- as he always was going to do -- and basically just allowed the war zone to cool like a burrito. Failing that, I would've brokered a deal between Assad, Kurdistan, and the UN, wherein Assad would be allowed to protect his own border from Turkish aggression and the Turks wouldn't enter.
