What is the best thing the military has given you?

A sense of purpose, self esteem, and a direction in life. I was 17, not great at school, no jobs around, and not sure what to do with my life. I went to a recruitment office and signed up. No regrets.

Glad to hear it, what was the toughest part?

Basic training comes as a shock to the system, but if you're prepared top knuckle down, it's fun. The hardest part of all is leaving the military. That sounds corny, but it takes more adjusting to leave military service to become a civilian again.
