@ElGuapo By 1941 there may have been too many fronts to alter the inevitable. But with political back-tracking they may have settled on the west and taken Stalin down for the count. A lot of Russian enemies in Eastern Europe were happy to join in on Hitler's side.

I guess the point of this counter-factual question is could a capable general who had the same resources have fared any better, bearing in mind that it was Halder who ignored Hitler's plan to seize the Caucusses
