Can HMS Queen Elizabeth

Is HMS Queen Elisabeth built to sustain damage e.g. multiple torpedo hits or a hit by a hypersonic missile?

Normally, an aircraft-carrier will be part of a carrier strike group comprising a cruiser, frigates, a few destroyers and possibly submarines.

@EugenieLaBorgia That didn't stop the Japs losing 3 in 5 mins at Midway....
@ElGuapo Naval strategy was not Japan's strong point as most of us have read in the naval strategy of the Yamoto's sinking in Okinawa by American aerial torpedos. No matter how well-armed a vessel is it is 'fore-armed' by strategy.

RN would struggle to put together a strike group at the mo. As the Russian's say it's just a big target, hopefully it's been designed to sustain the kind of punishment that Scharnhorst did at Jutland and not sink...
@ElGuapo Yes, I have read that Her Majesty's Fleet has been diminished to about 12 or so frigates and a handful of destroyers and submarines.

That's because they spent all their money on 2 sitting ducks and some SSBNs. Are you a naval historian?
@ElGuapo I am not. Here in France, we have less than Great Britain.

What does Mr Macrone have to say about that?

@EugenieLaBorgia How do you know so much about Yamamoto? Their new carrier got sunk by a single torpedo during Battle of the Philippine Sea, doesn't inspire confidence... It was supposed to have been capable of continuing to function even after taking hits...
@ElGuapo I enjoy military history and strategies. As for Macron, he may not be the president for whom I voted but he is France's president and, as such, shall always have my support. I have always found that when conversing with men in power - whether it be in a hostile or amiable political environment - the only way of gaining an audience and entering into a meaningful conversation to encourage change, it is far better that it is done peaceably and with respect.

@EugenieLaBorgia I did not mean anything negative. Just wondering how strong he is on defence... Germany should also construct a blue water navy to help keep European and international waters safe.
@ElGuapo No, I never thought you meant anything negative. I think all European leaders need to jolly well shape up and invest heavily in their defence instead of acting like prima donnas to be honest.

@EugenieLaBorgia Mr Trump would be proud of you :)
