Memorial Day weekend, remember what it' represent, thank you

My adoptive father was a Marine . We went to the parade in town , flags were every where, lots of people on horseback , old soldiers in uniform marching in formation , all the businesses having sidewalk sales and selling popcorn and candy . And the high school band playing . We sang America and the national anthem . Daddy put his cowboy hat over his heart and tears streamed down his face as he sang . Loud and proud . So we have flags flying here... we are going to the parade and then a motocross race and then we will have a big family dinner and the kids shoot off fireworks ...
