Would they actually send you to jail if...

I've heard about the fraudulent enlistment policy and all that stuff so my question is: if you lied and said you never smoked pot, went to counseling, etc would they actually send you to prison if they ever found out?

If you are talking military enlistment, then to lie on the application and be found out by someone who may be an agent of an unfriendly government, that could make you a security risk.
Prison I doubt, dishonourable discharge, high possibility.
