Let's assume that State sponsored college was a functionable and reasonable legislation...

As Bernie Sanders and his followers suggested...
In the past, it has been a reward for those who volunteered to serve in the military. So my question is:
What would you offer as a reward to those volunteers, if anything, in it's place?

Vets are 'rewarded' with a lifetime of benefits outside of education. Unless I'm mistaken I believe Vet benefits as they pertain to education varies by state. As does what's offered under the GI Bill and the many, many benefits vets receive. We easily have enough revenue to offer "free" secondary education and training to all. I personally think vets get more than enough 'breaks' and support already which aren't in place to 'thank' vets. They're there to entice people to volunteer. I guess we could go to back to the draft and create a level playing field. Wonder how many wars we'd be involved in if that was the case...

@CoxswainOtter Dude. You asked what lifetime benefits are offered, as if there weren't any, and I shared the link that shows what lifetime benefits are offered. And nothing personal but I don't give two shakes what you think so there's no need to "convince" you of anything.
I don't get it man. Not everything is up for debate. Some things are black and white.

@CoxswainOtter Just stop dude. And I don't HAVE a freaking argument. Can't you grasp that? You asked for lifetime benefits. I gave you a link to lifetime benefits. For fuck's sake dude. Get over yourself, huh? Maybe you didn't know there were lifetime benefits. Fine. We all have to learn things. So just accept that you learned something. It doesn't make you wrong or stupid.
Arguing over bullshit is what makes people stupid. Don't be that guy.
