Oh great really tonight 😣 [I Hate My Job]

Tonight at work I was locking up and I took the keys with me in the storage area which I dont do to often. I got distracted and turned around and closed door. The door I did open should have stayed unlocked but somehow it stayed locked. Then a couple minutes I looked for the keys where there normally at. They weren't there my anxiety and depression kicks in. I've done this one other time but it was a year ago. Anyways I call security to help. Then called boss. I apologized several times. Anyways we tried every key. But they my boss told him to use a card similar to a credit card size. He managed to opened it. I swear I said thank you 20 times. I promise/swear to my boss that I wont happen again. I hope I'm right. I'm still feeling anxious and depressed about this. This was very avoidable. I got to remember to keep the keys away from storage area unless opening it up. Then put them back where they belong. 😪☹😣

The harshest lessons have the most impact on us. And for the best.

I used to bag groceries as a 16 yr old. One time while taking them to a customer's car, they handed me their trunk keys (back before the release buttons on fobs). I opened the trunk, loaded the cart into the trunk, then closed the lid. Just then it hit me...i had set the keys down inside the trunk. The car was locked and keys were just inside. It cost me a locksmith. Helluva thing for a kid making 3.25 on the first day on the job. But every single time, over the years, that I took groceries out to a car, I always knew where their keys were!!!
