I Hate My Job

my boss is a bully!! he's worked at my hotel for 7 years now!! during this time, he's tried his hardest to get staff to leave so he can get his own staff in, ,even though most of them are his friends and family, so there are only a few of the longer term staff left!! he always sends us emails, telling us how sh!t we are at our jobs, nothing's ever good enough for him!! there's a split between the staff, there's his staff, and there's the longer term staff, there's a bad atmosphere between the staff, even though customers dont see it!! i keep telling myself im going to look for another job, but then i always fall into the trap of thinking " i already have a job, so why look for another one?" and also, part of me doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing me leave, but now i decided in the new year, its going to be a new job for me,cos i definitely had enough this time,iv'e had enough of his put downs, and had enough of working for what many people describe as being a dictatorship in my workplace. you either put up and shut up or you're an outcast!!there's a lot more to this story, but i would be here for ages writing it all, so yes, i think i definitely belong in this group for hating my job (thats an understatement)!! hopefully the new year brings a new job, even though jobs are hard to come by where i live, but if you dont try you dont succeed!!

you can write an anonymous email to his boss, what he's doing wrong. Basically if you can prove it in numbers you can get your boss fired from his boss. Unless he's the owner of the company.

well, thats my problem actually, i would have no problem doing that myself, but its getting others to come forward thats the problem. the rest just seem to put up and shut up, even though they are unhappy, but are not willing to do anything about it!!

I think you deserve to be treated better. Time to go somewhere you're appreciated & enjoy working in. You can do it! : )

thank you "InnerCalm",its just that when you work in that sort of environment for such a long time, you begin to believe that you are not good enough, so its trying to convince myself that i am good enough, and get to work on trying to find a new, better job where i get the respect i deserve!! thanks for the support!!
