Refuse to do presentation interview for a sales job that I had 25 years ago so I am withdrawing. Am I wrong?
I am burned out on sales jobs. When I was young, I was a sales star. The last 3 sales job I had all crapped out - one worse than the last. I told myself that I would not take another sales job 25 years ago but got laid off and ended up taking one to get back to work after over 2 years of unemployment. I regret it.
Now the same company that I was with 25 years ago is considering me for a similar sales job - again I resorted ti applying just to get something. Since I am a former employee, I am sure they assume I can do the job - they have a dog and pony show that they require in the review process but I just cant make myself jump through the hoops. A straight interview is one thing - having to do a presentation for a job I dont really want and probably cant do like I used to is another.
