Highway Construction Can Be Devastating To Residential Neighborhoods.

Construction of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway required the forcible displacement of tens of thousands of people across the two boroughs. Designed by Robert Moses, the highway cut a nearly 15-mile gash through some of the most densely populated neighborhoods on the planet.

@Fluffybull I would imagine their properties were bought. And, it would be up to each resident to find other housing.
And yet, they could have made a raised highway and hardly displaced anyone .

I dont get it, land is getting scarcer and scarcer and [b]nobody[/b] is planning for the future 🤷‍♀️
