Is your current job your chosen profession or is it something you took due to circumstances?

My current job isn't my chosen profession, but due to being laid off I had to start over from scratch from nothing. I was just promoted and although I am grateful for the opportunity I never imagined myself doing this long term. I am trying to accept this, but I keep hoping I'll get back to my previous line of work.🤷

It's cool that you found an opportunity and made the most of it. Mine is only temporary for now, I will be looking for a more permanent and well paid job in a couple of years or so.
