Why do we demonize deflation?

Clearly inflation isn't working anymore. The resistance to deflation, our perspective of it, the wealthy want money not less money. The difference of it being more valuable but less quantity apparently scares the excessively rich population. So free the worker or pay them what they deserve, no. Increase the struggle in the name of quantity over quality. Yes.
But capitalism is the best system? Idk sounds like greed to me.
