Career vs. relationship as a middle aged man

I’m a guy (with a relatively feminine temperament by a Big 5 standard), and the idea of a career hasn’t really appealed to me since high school. I have a pretty good job. There’s nothing exciting, high paying, or high status about it, but it’s something to do for eight hours a day, it pays the bills, and it’s a way of contributing my part to society. And I’m completely okay with that. Why? Because more than anything, I just want to be a dad. Not a CEO, not the president of the country, and not a doctor or lawyer. Just a dad. High status jobs are too time consuming and stressful.

The only thing that sucks is that most women tend to gravitate towards these super ambitious men with masculine temperaments, leaving behind only the women who either don’t want kids or are too old to have them. 😑

I don't think being a dad is a bad ambition, nobody is gonna remember the ceo once they die, and there's someone for everyone so don't give up
