How many times have you switched career paths?

My dentist used to be a teacher and that made me think.

Really don't wanna go back to school but I may try a trade
People typically switch careers 4 to 6 times in their lives.

A trade can be immensely satisfying, and a fresh departure from corporate positions or degree programs.
Often with good wages.

All the best in your decision!

@RoxClymer ive thought about going back to social work, but it's hard trying to help those who sometimes do very little to help themselves

@rosyhills I was in Special Needs sector which had it's challenges but wasn't draining like that; and I wouldn't blame you for not going back

Three, I guess. I wanted to be a psychologist but then realised after my degree I'd have to study and network for another 5-10 years to do it. Got into support work and went up the chain to management. Hated that and now I do support assessments for people.

@OhIsMe what do you mean by support work?
OhIsMe · 36-40, M
@rosyhills supporting people with mental health needs and learning disabilities

Well I never considered my other roles in life to be careers but I have done many things and changed my line of work as I increased my education and it has been very different occupations.
