Just because you have a degree doesn’t always mean you will make a career out of it!

I hate to rain on college students’ parades but it’s the truth. I was told the same thing as well…..well I watch the video on it. I didn’t understand. I have a friend that got a bachelors in some kind of field but he never got the job he wanted. He have to work at a job that didn’t fit his career goal. A friend of mine got her degree in nursing but she doesn’t have a nursing job. She’s working at a store. That’s a waste. Sometimes I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time in college. I’m studying early childhood education. I’ve been told that I’m wasting my time on that food and I should get another career. One of the girls I knew from wasn’t supportive. She said, “Why the hell would you want to be a teacher?! They’re under-appreciated, dealing with parents, don’t get paid much and dealing with rude and whining kids. Why can’t you find another job that will PAY you better. I don’t know why you’re wasting your time on getting a degree that won’t get you the dream job you want.” And she walked off. That stung. That wasn’t the one I was hoping for.
I’m working at an elementary school as a teacher’s assistant.

I have a mathematician friend who pretends to be a scientist and he has gotten nowhere with his degree. He even told me himself that his degree hasn't benefitted him.
