The temp agency tried to get me to sign an arbitration agreement lmao
One of the papers I had to sign was an "Acknowledgement of Arbitration Agreement," which basically says that I can't sue them, even if they do something bad. All I can do is bring the case before an arbiter, who's very likely paid for by them. Anyway, they can't actually make employees join an arbitration agreement 'cause it's illegal, but they can make you sign this stupid document, which says I agree to arbitrate if I don't submit an opt-out form.
The rest of the forms around it had to be submitted through their website, but the opt-out form itself had to be emailed to an address listed in the previous page... an address which was included as an image file rather than text. So you just have to copy it down. Then, you have to clip the opt-out form out of the larger document (it's in a single PDF file), and then you have to find a PDF editor. Oh, and then they have 15 days to acknowledge that you sent it over, & if they don't acknowledge it, you have to just call customer service apparently. The opt-out isn't valid until they send the acknowledgement email, which I ASSUME isn't enforceable if you've called their number.
These people are really playin' dirty lmao. Hell no I'm not gonna give up my right to sue these skeevy bitches.
