Has anyone made a career change that made them happier?

Hey all, just wondering if any SW friends made a career change that genuinely improved their lives and made them happier? If so, what field did you change to? And what about it makes you happy?

I have. I went from telecommunications to insurance (but I only do assessments, not sales). I’m happy because this gives me control over my time, and a little bit of travel opportunity. That’s what makes me happy about it; having a lot more free time to do what I feel like at the schedule I feel like.

@SW-User I'm happy to hear that for you. Being happy in a career is very important and definitely a life goal.
