Should I be worried?

Apparently my background check finished processing last night but I haven’t heard from the employer yet. Should I be worried? I know there was a credit check so they’re probably looking at that but idk how long that takes to review the background and credit check.

how long has it been since they officially hired you? if your background is clear there's no reason to worry, they will most likely contact you soon. that said, nothing wrong with reaching out once with a friendly reminder you're ready to start work.

@lovelywarpedlemon the sent me the background check on Monday and they used a site where I could track it’s progress so the results were sent to my recruiter last night after business hours. I’m not worried about my background, just don’t know what they’re looking for on the credit check. I’m a recent college graduate so I have a lot of student loans, but I don’t have any overdue payments and I always pay everything on time.

@subshelby background checks can take up to two weeks, usually within 4-10 days. i would almost guarantee it's just a little longer before they contact you. if you don't want to wait, you could send an email stating that you saw the background check cleared, and ask if there's anything else they need from you. but it seems unnecessary, unless they leave you waiting for a week without contact.

Give it a day or two. I would say that if you haven't heard anything by next Thursday, either call them or assume you aren't being accepted for some reason.
