Wildlife Biologist or a marine biologist, comment pros and cons for each and which one you think is better and why

I avoid hiring both. My experience has been that their college studies ill equip them for anything useful.

We use to hire them for offshore rigs. We have stopped that too.

And I do not use them for timber reserves.

I imagine there are pointless gov jobs they get hired for.

Never met a happy wildlife or marine biologist

I’m thinking of studying one or the other as a career after I’m done in high school cause I thought they seemed interesting. Do you know of any better careers that are interesting or similar? And can I ask what you worked as that you had to hire or avoid hiring a marine or wildlife biologist? @questionWeaver
@MightyLion operating timber reserves and oil and gas/pipeline operations

My best advice is to select college education which gives you the best basis to make money and do things interesting

Mechanical engineering, civil engineering ... would position you best for selecting a future career in many different fields.

Degrees in math, teaching, chemistry and physics would also be good ... cause you could select many careers after that.

Narrow fields, like oceanography, political science, earth sciences will leave you unhappy ... cause you will invest a lot of time and others will be the ones getting fun jobs, being paid well and buying the nice cars/houses
Marine because we know more about space than we do about our oceans. Wildlife may also be a category in the depths of our oceans. Creatures we may never have seen much les be aware of.
Do you prefer hiking/camping or swimming/scuba diving?
