I'm not picking things up

It was my first shift yesterday and I was shadowing another member of staff he was very nice and patient but I kept messing up especially on the till I'm so scared that the company will get rid of me if I don't pick stuff up Soon

I’m sure they understand and remember what it’s like to be new. My son had a notebook in which he would write everything he could about what he learned at each training shift when he got home.
