I'm not picking things up

It was my first shift yesterday and I was shadowing another member of staff he was very nice and patient but I kept messing up especially on the till I'm so scared that the company will get rid of me if I don't pick stuff up Soon

It used to be that you had a month’s trial to learn a new job. Everyone feels nervous at first. A reasonable boss knows you’ll mess up until you get the hang of it. Good luck and Congratulations!
