I'm not picking things up

It was my first shift yesterday and I was shadowing another member of staff he was very nice and patient but I kept messing up especially on the till I'm so scared that the company will get rid of me if I don't pick stuff up Soon

Try to relax and breathe. Everybody who works there worked their first week, too. Ask the guy you shadowed any questions you have. Take notes if you have to.

Employers say, depending on the job, it takes 90 days to two years for a new employee to be 'fully productive.'

Nobody says one day. It'll come. Just breathe.
