Do you trust online gambling?

I have been a programmer for 30+ years and know how easy it would be to swap out a code module for another. So when an inspector comes to test the honesty of your gambling engine, they would see everything as legit, and within 30 minutes of their finishing up you could swap out that module for your cheater version.
Like when you let the lottery do a "quick pick" for you, it is supposed to be random numbers, but suppose the algorithm noted the numbers it selected and put them on a "do not pick" list, so you always lose.
Maybe once in a while it would let some random win, just to appear legit, but the possibility is there to abuse this. Way too easy.
There really is no way to control it either.
Even the mechanical versions were set to cheat, when I was on a cruise ship, I hit triple jackpot 3 times, but the last one always stopped 1/32 away from the actual top so it didn't register the win. Pretty sure that was intentional.

The house always wins anyway even in nominally fair games. In fact even in actually fair games the house still has at least a slight edge because it can afford to stay in the game longer.
