Depends on what I’m looking at I guess
In early 2005 the east coast suffered a massive blizzard, the governor of Delaware where I was living at the time declared a state of emergency, anyone stopped on any roads would be arrested and their vehicles impounded. I was scheduled to work my security post that day but called in, my site manager threatened to fire me if I didn't come in, I told him the governor declared a state of emergency, I lived 13 miles from the site, the chances of me being stopped and arrested was far greater than him only living a mile away from the site, that if I get arrested for defying the governor's orders I would lose my security license and lose my job anyways, so I would rather lose my job my way and not risk my security license and hung up. Five minutes later I get a call from the security company branch manager and I explain, he understands and says I did the right thing, my site manager was suspended without pay for a week for attempting to force an employee, me, to defy an order to stay home.
