Boeing CEO get $33 Million Bonus

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun got a $33 million bonus by Boeing shareholders. This is the largest bonus any Boeing CEO has ever received. Calhoun also will get a $45 million golden parachute when he leaves. All this despite Boeing having huge safety issues in recent years.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s six-week audit of Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems, prompted by the January 5 incident involving a new, Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft, found multiple instances where the companies allegedly failed to comply with manufacturing quality control requirements.

These huge undeserved corporate bonuses encourage reckless acts and corruption. CEO's engage in schemes to produce short term profits, collect their huge bonus then split town before the consequences hit.

Congress should tax excessive corporate CEO bonuses at the rate of 90%.
