Context ; I own a small marketing agency.
My client needed help with her social media campaigns. Over the weeks after launching the campaigns, it was a FLOP. she lost money.
I thought she would not want to continue our collaboration after the contract ends…. Which would be only logical given how badly the campaigns were performing.
Yet I noticed through the collaboration, she keeps complimenting me over and over again… She tells me I am the best professional she ever came across.
Yet she knows the results were bad. So I feel flattered but she has gone over the top… texting me at midnight, wanting my reassurance and comfort in random days that should be her days off etc
Ofc she asked to renew the contract and I want to say no because she’s gonna lose money with me. She should first work on her website’s conversion rates and her product-market-fit before launching a new campaign.
So I know when I’ll decline she will get upset.
I made a joke like that once and she said “you scared me, I thought you were serious”
Anyways. It’s all too weird 😂
