What are the best examples of companies creating a problem just to sell us the solution?

@ChristinaNks I don't think Big Pharma creates diseases or food corps create the need to eat... And governments do create problems, but not to provide solutions. They just think in short term solutions with the intend to leave the problems those cause in the long term to the next group.
