Getting criticized
I have to vent.
I sell things online. All kinds of things but mostly shoes/boots, clothes, toys, books, sometimes athletic equipment.
For the first time in one day I got 2 stars (out of 5) for 2 items. 2 different buyers.
First one said, and got this racquet weeks ago, the handle was disintegrating. I suspect she decided to retape the handle and “something” happened. I get stuff second hand, and I sell it second hand. There was nothing wrong with the handle or the tape when I bought it. It was a high end squash racquet. I never used it, I don’t play squash. But whatever.
Second one said “the scent of detergent was overpowering”….what? Ugh. I wash everything, almost, before I sell it. I won’t wash anything that can’t be washed in a washer, like fabrics that need to be dry cleaned. I usually don’t buy those items. And I package nicely , in poly packaging. With a thank you sticker. Plus this buyer said I didn’t disclose a “slight” bleach stain - another “what?!!”…ugh. Ok, grosso, be sure to message sellers in future that you don’t want your second hand clothes washed before they’re mailed out to you.
This made my day bleh.
I know I shouldn’t be so sensitive, and maybe this rant will get me out of it. I pride myself on selling clean, if not new, used items, and I take the time to package nicely. 2 out of many isn’t bad, I’m seriously trying to cheer myself up.
“I’m still a good seller, I’m still a good seller”.
*sigh*
This “hobby” isn’t for everyone.
My first anniversary is coming up in a month…will I last?
I definitely won’t if I win the lotto 💵💰💵💰😄
