Last month I was elected as Chairman of a Marching Drill organisation
It's been 3 weeks and since day one I was faced with a number of challenges 🤦🏼♂️.
This role may seem glamourous to some, but it comes with always having a target on your back and already I had to put out so many fires including one which involved the Chairman of a previous organisation which the current one broke away from who made a public post on Facebook in which he accused the head coach of theft and myself of stealing stationary of all things when I served as an Executive member on the board of the previous organisation 🤦🏼♂️...
This resulted in a meeting called with the higher Federation (which our organisation does not belong to, but the previous organisation does belong to) and they determined I was wrongfully drawn into a mess that I nothing to do with (I had all my facts and proof in order).
Tomorrow I have some more tough decisions to make... Who said leadership was a great position to be in? 🙄
