I got to see a mourning dove up close today 🥹

Usually they are pretty shy.

Perfect little wing spots, iridescence and gorgeous blue eyeliner. 💙

I talked to him softly while he looked at me like,

"WANT TO EAT DIS, OR NO???"

But he sat for a minute I'd say, I wanted to make sure he was okay to fly away, which he did when he was ready.
