Staring through the darkness
Just staring at the ceiling
Staring through my weakness
And all that I believed in

Staring towards the distance
And all that should be found there
But I'm staring at a desert
And I've found that I no longer care

I'm staring at the past now
And all that's come before me
I'm staring far too long now
And I've found it just conforms me

I stare at birds gone by
I stare at eyes that cry
I stare at all the lies...
I'll stare until I die !

Staring through the minefields
That leave me here, dismembered
Staring at that dreams now
That I barely can remember

Staring through the darkness
And there's no light I can follow
Staring at the hunger
That's left me feeling hollow

The world just keeps on turning
And here I am still here staring
Staring through the darkness
Staring at the ceiling

I stare at birds gone by
I stare at eyes that cry
I stare at all the lies...
I'll stare until I die !

And wishes will die upon shooting stars
And I'll keep on wishing and taking scars
I'll keep on dreaming and going too far
Walking through nightmares made from my heart
