Knowing they're not indigenous there, do they know where they escaped from?

Was there already an existing feral / released population of them in Italy?

@SW-User Well, peacocks were first introduced here during the Roman Republic era if I'm not mistaken; they may not be indigenous but for sure they're not recently imported (unlike other invasive species unfortunately)

I've just never seen them in cities like that, though 🤔
