Around the neighbothood we have a family of four hawks. 2 years ago it was a single mated pair.

@Deceased I’m happy to see them build up their population. When I was growing up I didn’t see many hawks, it was rare. DDT was used so much back then it was affecting birds being able to hatch their young, the eggs were fragile. It took awhile after it was banned to see the increase and I keep an eye out for them when I am driving anywhere in rural areas. Also have seen different kinds around here, some migrating birds and some stay year round. Hawks and falcons are sitting on fences watching for prey and they help keep the vermin populations down.
