They're supposedly good for heart health, a good little source of fiber and have cancer fighting compounds. But there are a lot of pesticide issues with the skin so buy organic and wash them well.

@brokensignal What leads you to believe that washing would remove the pesticides?

@ninalanyon It isn’t 100 percent effective, but that’s what is widely recommended. Using baking soda is supposed to be even more effective. Peeling them can be good but there is also a lot of nutritional value in the peels. At the very least washing apples gets rid of germs and dirt. 🤷‍♂️ But do whatever you want.
