They're being objective and rational in their dismissal.
You can't objectively argue with them, so instead you're trying to attack their character.
That's poor form. They could just as easily say you're crazy, then you would have a personal justification for feeling indignant.
Why does religion have to be a personal thing? Why can't you chalk it up to just being a guess?
