I'm writing stories about/involving supernatural ideas.
Ever since my dad died, I've been thinking more about what happens (or doesn't happen) "after". These thoughts were a large part of what led me to write and publish a novel last year. I guess I'd categorize it as "supernatural fantasy", given some of its themes. Definitely not traditional fantasy.
A friend who read it told me it was, in his opinion, a mix of adventure and philosophy. I guess I can sort of see what he means, especially given that I know he's a very deep thinker, but the story is very much more adventure than anything else. And though the main character is seventeen years old, I wrote it for adults; it isn't meant to be "YA", though some teenagers would enjoy it for sure. I am working on the sequel now.
