My friend’s 2 year old son could barely talk and he kept saying he wanted to go play with “the man living in the basement.” He said he would talk to him and play with him. The thing is, no one lived in the basement.

I know a lot of kids have an imaginary friend... but this is still creepy as hell. I believe kids are way more sensitive to things adults can't see or feel. Have you done a bit of detective work to see if anything in your place's past could add some believability to your son's "friend?" Or are you content that it really is an imaginary friend?
