Ynotisay - I am all good with that. However, science doesn't explain everything. For example, science doesn't explain our self aware-ness. What people call our soul. The closest anyone has gotten to explain our thoughts is to say it is energy. Our brains fire energy. Our neurons fire up and voila! We are self aware thinkers. But science can't explain why or how.
And then there is this... what I believe is a very compelling case for "ghosts" or supernatural events: Science states that energy can not be created or destroyed. This is science 101. Energy just gets used elsewhere. So, if our "soul," our self aware selves are essentially just a collection of energy stored in our brain (making our brain a kind of battery) - what happens to that energy when we die? Energy can't be destroyed, right? If enough energy remained together - and not scattered around the globe, could it be possible that that "brain energy" could somehow lead to what we call a supernatural event? Hell, other supernatural events could be explained this way - past life experiences and such - because if enough "brain energy" happened to be absorbed from a close by person - the energy may be absorded in our brain (the battery) and be strong enough to still hold a memory from a previous person.
Obviously, all theory - but it would explain a lot - and it all uses science as a base. Memories = energy stored in the brain. Energy can not be destroyed.
If this was "actually the case" that would mean that a lot of supernatural events would actually be science. But it all comes down to science not being able to explain our self aware nature. Science saying that all our thought processes are electrical. Science saying that energy can not be destroyed.
No matter what...it's all still fun to think about. For me anyway.
